Planning an edition of BILT Europe starts long before anyone books a flight or train. We're at the beginning of that work now, and we chose to start it the same way we intend to continue: by bringing more of the community into the room.

So the first step has been to strengthen our Advisory Board - a group of practitioners from across the AEC industry, who have agreed to give us their time, their networks and their honest opinion as we shape the next edition together.

The idea of the Advisory board isn’t new. First trialed in 2024, a rotating selection of the BILT community has effectively assisted the committee in the background. . What's different this time is that we're starting the cycle with it rather than turning to it halfway through. Themes, keynote, the experience around the sessions, the partnerships worth building: these are questions better addressed early, and asked to people who will be sitting in the audience.

The Advisory Board

Jean-Marc Couffin, Product Manager at DiRoots and core maintainer of the open source pyRevit project, used every day by thousands of Revit users. Bettool Jabur, Chartered Architectural Technologist and Product Manager at Symetri, working where design technology meets sustainability. Amani Chahin, who leads the BIM discipline at Jacobs across sectors from pharma to data centres. Peter Imbrechts, co-founder of Neanex, and Maarten van den Berg, digital construction specialist, also at Neanex, both working at the data-centric end of the field.

Open source and commercial software, consultancy and large-scale delivery, geometry and pure data, across four countries. Between them they represent a lot of facets of how our industry actually gets work done.

All of them are volunteers. They're doing it because they care about an independent, software-agnostic event that belongs to its community, which is in the end the only reason BILT Europe exists at all. That kind of support from the industry is not something we take for granted.

To all five: thank you. The work starts now, and we're glad to be starting it with you.
